  • Research at ICR

To improve the quality of care that we provide to our veterans, we must continually pursue research that is relevant to their particular needs. ICR does this by supporting studies of traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder, readjustment and reintegration into society, treatment for lung and prostate cancer as well as for chronic kidney and liver diseases.

Our ICR researchers conduct studies that are funded by federally-funded organizations such as the National Institutes of Health in addition to studies sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry.

Research Focus:

  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Gulf War Illness
  • Post-Traumatic Stress/Psychological Health
  • Infectious Diseases (HIV, Liver Disease)
  • Heart and Lung Disease
  • Arthritis
  • Cancer
